Photos stay on your device

Barcode detection and label text recognition run in your browser. Boycott Scan does not upload or store the selected photo. The barcode or search words are sent to Open Food Facts to find a product. Avoid including personal information in your search.

Services your browser contacts

Open Food Facts supplies product records and images. Label recognition downloads its software and English language files from third-party content delivery networks. Those services and our hosting provider receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address. Their privacy policies also apply.

No account required

This release does not create a personal scan history, sell your scans, or use advertising trackers. Hosting security services may use operational logs or cookies to protect the website. Closing or refreshing the page clears the selected product and photo from the interface.
